1: Weekly cleaning of the heads, caps and wipers, as per the owners manual

2: Don't allow the heads to strike the media, this scratches the delicate surface and will create print headaches. (a scratched head is not covered under warranty as this is considered negligence.

3: Change wipers regularly, as per the manual and when the machine prompts you to do so. Dirty or damaged wipers will scratch the heads.

4: Have your machine serviced at the recommended service intervals, and have the parts replaced that are recommended in the service booklet.

Prices for Spare parts to be fitted by trained and authorised service centres, please check with us if you are unsure about the status of the engineer. This guide for

you to know, what the maximum you should be charged for these parts and to allow you to plan for replacing these parts when they reach end of life.

The following spares are parts that can only be fitted by trained authorised Roland service centres. They come with expected life warranties, but only if used with

original parts and consumables eg: ink etc. Having these fitted by non authorised service centres or using them with non approved supplies would void the

warranties, as we have no way of determining their life span after them being exposed to solvents etc that are not part of product offering. Furthermore we

cannot force an engineer to work on machines that have unknown health consequences due to exposure to chemicals we don't control. If you decide to therefore

use third party suppliers, please discuss your warranty and service requirements with them, (we do not train them.) If you are at all unsure, please call us to

ensure you protect your investment in Roland reliability. You have choices, but your choices have consequences, it pays to inform yourself.

Print heads: These are the essential nuts and bolts of your machine and if looked after they will give you a lot longer life than we warrant. They are expensive but if you take the following actions you will get

your moneys worth

Dampers, are a very delicately engineered filter and vacuum stabiliser for the head. They prevent damage to the head from impurities in the ink and assist the head to fire correctly. Don't be fooled with

cheap imitations they will damage your heads

Ink Tubes should last a minimum of 3000 hours. Using Roland Original ink our customers are achieving eight to ten times this amount, there is approximately 30m of piping in any given machine and

various nozzles and connectors so difficult to list all the parts for each and every machine, but below is an approximation, please call for individual quotes.

Sheet linear Scales:- These should rarely need replacing as long as the machine is kept in a dust free environment and original ink is used. (third party solvents attack them and dust scratches them) Clean

your machine and if in a dusty environment use a clean air unit and clean more regularly and cover when not in use
