Los Angeles, CA, January 15, 2014 — Roland is pleased to introduce the DP-90Se
and DP-90e, two new digital pianos that offer premium features in compact and stylish
upright designs for the home. With top-level musical performance provided by Roland’s
latest piano technologies, the DP-90 series is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a
fashionable, space-saving instrument with no compromises in sound or playability.
Streamlined and handsome, the DP-90Se and DP-90e are a perfect fit in any home,
including smaller spaces such as apartments and condos. Available in Polished Ebony
or Polished White finishes, the DP-90Se provides a striking appearance that echoes the
majestic elegance of a fine acoustic grand, while the DP-90e’s Contemporary Black
finish offers a more understated look that blends nicely with modern living spaces.
Thanks to Roland’s advanced SuperNATURAL® Piano technology, the DP-90 series
delivers the dynamic, complex sound of an authentic acoustic grand with stunning
accuracy. Recent developments to further enhance the piano experience include a new
upright instrument tone, a Dynamic Harmonic function for fortissimo playing, and
Individual Note Voicing to customize the piano’s sound to suit the user’s playing style or
home environment.
The new PHA-4 Concert (DP-90Se) and Premium (DP-90e) keyboards include Roland’s
latest touch-detection technology and escapement mechanism, offering a magnificent
touch that allows players to deeply explore SuperNATURAL Piano’s expansive tonal
range. In addition, the keys are finished with specially developed materials that provide
the natural texture and tactile sensation of real ivory and ebony keys on an acoustic
grand. The PHA-4’s hammer-action mechanism also produces less audible noise than
previous designs, a welcome feature for not disturbing others while practicing with
headphones.
The DP-90Se and DP-90e provide a rich, resonant sound experience with their onboard
audio systems, which feature large speakers built into the pianos’ integrated stands.
With the unique new Headphones 3D Ambience effect, users can enjoy the spacious
sound field of an acoustic piano while playing with headphones during private practice
sessions.
Useful features for daily practice include a large onboard song library and a built-in
recorder that allows users to share their music via optional USB flash memory. With the
convenient Volume Limit function, parents can preset a maximum volume so their kids
