Part 5 Many Kinds of Printing and Settings
Printing on Wax-use Media
You can perform the following kinds of printing using wax-use media.
Standard Color Printing
This print mode is suited to wax-use media.
[Output Data] [Printing & Cutting] [Printing]
[Document Type] [Automatic], [Photographs], and [Graphics/Text] perform fused-binary printing with 145 screen lines
(line dithering).
[Grayscale] performs fused-binary printing with 85 screen lines (line dithering).
[Media Type] [Media for Wax]
[Print Mode] [Standard Color]
[Print Using] [Standard Color] [Single Color] [Full Color & Spot Colors]
[Select Ink Cartridge(s)] Wax-use ink-ribbon cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) are required.
When you use [Print Using] to select [Single Color] or [Full Color & Spot Colors], wax-use ink-
ribbon cartridges for the selected colors are required.
VPhoto Color Printing
You use this print mode when performing photo-quality printing on wax-use media. It uses finer gradations than standard
printing.
[Output Data] [Printing & Cutting] [Printing]
[Document Type] [Automatic], [Photographs], and [Graphics/Text] perform fused-polyvalent printing with 145 screen
lines (line dithering).
[Grayscale] cannot be selected.
[Media Type] [Media for Wax]
[Print Mode] [VPhoto Color]
[Print Using] [Standard Color] [Full Color & Spot Colors]
[Select Ink Cartridge(s)] Wax-use ink-ribbon cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) are required.
When you use [Print Using] to select [Full Color & Spot Colors], wax-use ink-ribbon cartridges for
the selected colors are required.
Finishing Printing
This uses wax-use ink-ribbon cartridges (finishing) at all locations where data is to be printed, and performs finishing at the end
of printing.
[Output Data] [Printing & Cutting] [Printing]
[Document Type] [Automatic] [Photographs] [Graphics/Text] [Grayscale]
[Media Type] [Media for Wax]
[Print Mode] [Standard Color] [VPhoto Color]
[Finishing] is selected.
[Print Using] [Standard Color] [Single Color] [Full Color & Spot Colors]
[Select Ink Cartridge(s)] Wax-use ink-ribbon cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) are required.
