Disabling Windows scheduled defragmentation

1. In the Explorer, click Computer.

2. In the list of Hard Disk Drives shown in the window, right-click the hard disk that you're using for

recording, and then click Properties.

3. In the Properties dialog box, click the Tools tab.

4. Click Optimize.

Click Defragment Now.

5. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click Yes.

6. Click Change settings.

Click Configure schedule.

7. Clear the check box for Run on a schedule, and click OK.

8. Click Close.

9. Click OK to close the Properties dialog box.
